Smoothies are definitely NOT the same as juices. A juice is just the juice of various types of botanicals but is still packed with a plethora of health benefits. Nutrients are absorbed super fast with a juice. A smoothie is a drink constructed from whole ingredients that are pulped and blended together, so you get the nutrients gradually. The added benefit of smoothies is that you can throw in extra good stuff and supercharge them! It has been recorded that in the last five years, the consumption of smoothie has gone up by 15%. If you’re not already a fan, it’s time to convert! Due to the level of energy that a smoothie contains, a glass before meals will cut down your appetite in a healthy manner, without you having to starve yourself! More Fruits and Vegetables fewer than 1/4 of Americans don't get enough fruits and vegetables, despite the USDA’s recommendations of at least five servings per day. With a smoothie, you can easily incorporate 1-2 cups of greens and 1-1.5 cups of fruit – and it’s a fast and easy way to eat your fruits and vegetables. Fiber is an important part of any diet. It prevents constipation, lowers cholesterol and makes you feel full longer. In juice, the fiber has been removed. However, since a smoothie is just blended fruits and vegetables, smoothies still contain valuable fiber! Antioxidants may prevent or delay cell damage, and fruits and vegetables offer rich sources of them. High-level doses in supplements may cause damage, so it’s best to get your antioxidants from whole foods. This nourishing 60 minute session teaches the values of creating smoothies ideal for your body type. Includes a 7 day supply of fruit/vegetables blended with local spring water. This service includes a (14) count collection of 12 ounce mason jars which all beverages will be served in. We also include recommended herbs and/or supplements to improve wellness for each recipe.
